Manage Scenario Overview
The Manage Scenario tool allows Administrative Users to create, manage, lock/unlock, and adjust the
ordering of relevant Scenarios; Actuals, Plans, Forecasts, and Budgets. These adjustments are then
reflected in the full suite of Diligent tools. This document will outline the functionality available on each tab within the Manage Scenario Admin Tool.
Accessing Manage Scenario
The suite of Admin Tools is accessible via the “Manage” tab on the left navigation pane on the Diligent
main page. Placing your mouse over the “Manage” button will allow you to select the “Manage
Scenario” option from the expansion menu on the right.
Once in the Manage Scenario screen, you can “Edit” an existing Scenario or to “Add” a new Scenario.
Edit an Existing Scenario
To edit an existing scenario, simply select Edit, the green pencil in the Actions column, for the scenario
you wish to modify.
Scenario Details
The Scenario Details tab allows a user to change the Scenario Description (full and short descriptions),
the Screen Order for that Scenario, overlay actuals as the year progresses, designate which tools within
the EBM Suite this Scenario can be viewed, Delete the Scenario, as well as Archive the Scenario.
The archiving of Scenarios is a way for an Administrator to speed up the scheduled job refreshes by
removing unused Scenarios from being processed. These Scenarios are not lost, but are stored in an
archive if needed in the future.
Creating a New Scenario
From the Scenario Management screen select the “Add Scenario” button at the bottom right of the page
to launch the New Scenario creation screen.
Scenario Details
Selecting “Add Scenario” will direct you to a blank Scenario Details tab where you can set up the specific
details of the new Scenario you are creating. When you have finished, select the “Save” button on the
bottom of the screen. It will take approximately 5 minutes for the system to build the Scenario before it
is available in the planning screens. If the new scenario is made available in the Cubes and Reports, a full
reprocess of the data will be required before the new scenario is represented within those tools.
