File Refresh Issue - Analysis Server Login Wizard
Description:
When attempting to use a Diligent connected Excel cube file, the user will unexpectedly encounter similar Microsoft errors as seen above. The causes are usually related to Microsoft and Excel bugs, but can be resolved by following any or all of the steps below.
Solution:
- Run the file through the Cube Updater in Diligent under the Analysis tab by following these instructions.
- Create a Trusted Location to save and open the file from in your machine. This is now required for most files to work. Follow these instructions.
- Force your system to always use Internet Explorer (rather than Edge) in the background for Microsoft applications by following these steps. This can often solve common errors.
- Quit Excel using the Task Manager and restart your machine.
If none of the above work, this may mean you have multiple logins which our support team will need to fix that for you. This can occur when adding a user incorrectly or adding a user more than once using multiple email addresses. Cite this section of the article and submit a ticket, as our support team will need to investigate your user account(s) in Diligent.
